Studi.DH
Studi.DH is a service and advice center for student research projects in the Digital Humanities (DH).
Advisory centre for student research projects in the Digital Humanities (DH).
The Studi.DH team offers advice on digital components in seminar papers, bachelor and master theses in the Humanities and Cultural Studies.
The current portfolio includes all departments of the Humanities and Cultural Studies faculties with a focus on
- Languages and Literatures (Faculty 13)
- History and Arts (Faculty 09)
- Cultural Studies (Faculty 12)
Students and supervisors of student (final) theses receive support in the use of digital tools, the selection of methods and the preparation of data collection. In addition, the advisory team offers help with the preparation and structuring of data and, if necessary, refers students to specialized training courses in computer science and statistics.
Online platform Studi.DH
Studi.DH also provides LMU students and supervisors with an online platform (still under construction) that can be used for interactive data analysis. For this purpose, interfaces to LMU’s own databases (MySQL) and to common programming languages such as Python, JavaScript and R are provided, enabling ad-hoc data processing within the portal without the need for individuals to install their own software. In addition, a comprehensive self-study program is provided to facilitate familiarisation with these tools.
